Award winning and BAFTA nominated animation director.
My Dad

Inherited opinions. Inherited isolation.
A short film depicting a dad's influence on a young boy's life. His judgmental character mixed with the boys fondness for his dad prove to be a toxic mix that tears away at a world of opportunity and experiences. A short animation made with oil pastels and newspaper clippings.

BAFTA Nomination!
The film was nominated for a BAFTA in the short animation category which was an amazing experience. You can read my BAFTA Guru interview for more information on the film and the processes involved in making it!
Some photos from the weekend!

The film has also picked up some fantastic awards:
The Graduation Cristal at Annecy International 2015
UWE New European Talent Award at Encounters 2015
Best Animation at The Smalls Film festival 2015
Best British Film at the London International Animation Festival 2014

Accepting my award at the Barbican from the London International Animation Festival.

Judges Comments:
The award for best British film goes to a film that tackled a complex and highly charged subject without reducing it to simple protagonists and easily digestible images. It combined a vibrant yet raw animation style with graphical references that brought out the many forces in conflict, from the level of personal family to local street cultures to the collusions of the media industry itself.
